A master’s or a doctoral degree in a School Psychology program from an accredited university approved by the Membership Committee.(Experience may be obtained either during or following the graduate degree program.)
Attainment of a passing score adopted by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) on the National School Psychology Examination (ETS Praxis in School Psychology) which is a score of 165/200 based on the September, 2008 revision of the ETS Praxis-II: School Psychology Examination.

2. ETS must receive all registrations by the deadline stated for requesting centers outside the United States (details are on the back cover of the Bulletin). Consider downloading the Bulletin for additional helpful information.

3. Although the site/location for Praxis-II Test administrations in tghe Province of BC is variable and subject to change, the most recent Praxis-II examination administrations have been provided at UBC/Vancouver. It is possible to request a geographically closer test administration for candidates located outside of the Lower Mainland by providing a written request submitted well in advance of the registration deadline; however such an option remains at the discretion of ETS and may or may not be supported.
4. As a ***special note*** for the ETS Test administrations: no cell phones or other forms of communications devices will be allowed in the testing room. If a test candidate is caught with such a device, the Proctor cannot take it from you; however, your test will be immediately discontinued and your examination will be cancelled without refund.
Canadian citizenship, Canadian landed immigrant status or work-eligibility Visa.
No record of any criminal offence which may jeopardize a professional relationship with students.
Two references which would attest to the suitability of the applicant to work as a school psychologist. Possible references may include employers, professional colleagues, or academics who have known the applicant for a period of at least 2 years.
A Certified School Psychologist is employed by a board of school trustees constituted under the School Act, or by a Provincial, federal or municipal government or government agency, or by a university as defined by the University Act.
